Itinerary:
Day 1: Marrakech – Ait Benhaddou – Dades Gorge.
Following breakfast, we will travel from Marrakech to the 2260-meter-high Tizi-n-Tichka High Atlas highlands. We reach the well-known Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, which is a UNESCO historical site and the biggest Kasbah in Morocco. After lunch in the Kasbah, we’ll go on to Dades Gorge, via the Valley of the Rose. intriguing sand castles with Kalaat Mgouna, the capital of the rose city, which is well-known for its yearly celebration during the May rose harvest. We will check into our hotel when we get to the Dades Gorge. Night and dinner.
Day 2: Dades Gorge – Todra Gorges – Camel Trekking – Erfoud – Merzouga
Following breakfast, we will go through the Valley of Dades to see “Monkey Toes,” an incredible rock structure. After that, we keep driving in the direction of Tinghir to see the well-known “Todra Gorge.” We shall stroll beneath the 300-meter-tall red cliff when we get to the Gorge. After there, we continue traveling over the desert, stopping for lunch at Erfoud. After that, we head to the hamlet of Merzouga, where we will spend the night in Berber tents and enjoy a breathtaking camel walk before sunset.
Day 3:Merzouga Desert – Nomads Families – Khamlia Village – Erg Chebbi
We can explore the dry area today. Go to the village of the Gnawa people, who are originally from Sudan. After learning about their music and way of life, we’ll go to Merzouga Lake and its bird populations. We can also travel to the nomadic thread house, which is home to numerous Berber handicrafts. We will eventually go to a nearby restaurant for lunch, where we will eat Berber pizza, and then return to our hotel to spend the remainder of the day there
Day 4: Merzouga Desert – Ziz Valley – Cedar forests and monkey troupes of Azrou – Fes
After breakfast, we will go by car to Rissani, also known as Tafilalet’s economic center. Then proceed to Alnif across the Acacia fields. Through the settlement of Tazzarine, we will enter the Draa Valley while admiring stunning scenery. On the road to Ouarzazate, we will join the Ait Saouen highlands in the afternoon. Depending on when we arrive, we will spend the night at our hotel after touring the Kasbah of Taourirt.
Day 5: Fes – Marrakech
After breakfast, we will drive back to Marrakech along the High Atlas mountains. We will include few stops on the way before we arrive at the red city. At our arrival, we will accompany you to your hotel where our desert tour comes to the end.
