5 Days Marrakech to Sahara desert tour

Itinerary:
Day 1 : Marrakesh – Ait Benhaddou – Ouarzazate – Dades Gorge.
After breakfast, we will depart from Marrakech towards the High Atlas mountains of Tizi-n-tichka, which stands at altitude of 2260 M. We arrive at the famous Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, the largest Kasbah in Morocco and a UNESCO heritage site. We will visit the Kasbah and have lunch, then continue to Dades Gorge passing by the Valley of the Rose. fascinating sand castles with the capital of Kalaat Mgouna, the roses city, known for its annual festival during the rose harvest in May. At our arrival at the Dades Gorge, we will check-in for our hotel. Dinner and night.
Day 2: Dades Gorge – Todra Gorge – Merzouga
After breakfast, we will drive along the Valley of Dades to visit one the amazing rock formation “the monkey toes”. We then continue driving towards Tinghir to visit one of the famous Gorge “Todra Gorge”. On arrival to the Gorge, we will walk under the 300m high red cliff. Then continue our trip to the desert with a stop in Erfoud where we have lunch. Afterward, we leave for the village of Merzouga where we will experience an amazing camel trekking for sunset and overnight under the Berber tents.
Day 3: Merzouga Desert excursion
Today we can explore the desert area. Visit the Gnawa people village, originally from Sudan. We will discover their music and lifestyle, then visit the lake of Merzouga with its bird populations. we can also visit the home of nomadic thread where many Berber handicrafts. After a while, we will drive to have a Berber Pizza for lunch in a local restaurant, then drive back to our hotel for the rest of the day. Dinner and night.
Day 4 : Merzouga – Rissani – Alnif – Draa Valley – Ouarzazate.
After breakfast, we will drive towards the city of Rissani “The economic capital of Tafilalet”. Then continue along the Acacia fields to reach Alnif. We will join the Draa Valley through the village of Tazzarine, while taking beautiful pictures of landscapes. In the afternoon, we will join the hills of Ait Saouen on the way to Ouarzazate. According to the arrival time, we might visit the Kasbah of Taourirt, then go for our overnight in our hotel.
Day 5 : Ouarzazate – High Atlas – Marrakech.
After breakfast, we will drive back to Marrakech along the High Atlas mountains. We will include few stops on the way before we arrive at the red city. At our arrival, we will accompany you to your hotel where our desert tour comes to the end.
