Itinerary:
Day 1: Fes – Ifrane – Cedar Forest – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Sahara desert
We will travel over the Atlas Mountains and the enchanted middle Atlas cedar forests, passing via the quaint towns of Ifrane and Azrou, which are known for their handicrafts, as we begin our 6-day vacation from Fes to Marrakech via the desert at 8:00 am. We travel on towards Erfoud after a filling lunch in Midelt, finally reaching the captivating dunes of Erg Chebbi. Here, you may enjoy a camel ride amid the golden sands while taking in the breathtaking Sahara sunset.
You are welcomed with a cup of tea when you arrive at the campsite. Our personal tents, Before enjoying a delicious dinner, you may unwind in luxury in our private tents, which come with ensuite amenities. Music from the camp staff and cameleers creates a joyous atmosphere beneath the starry desert sky. This three-day immersion desert trip creates enduring memories of the delight of cross-cultural interactions and the wonders of the Sahara desert.
Day 2: Explore the sahara – Activities
Following breakfast, we will begin our Merzouga Sahara desert exploration tour, which will include stops at nomad families and the greatest parts of the Sahara desert. Drink tea and take in the view of the oasis where films such as Penelope Cruz’s “Sahara” were shot. Following lunch in Khamlia hamlet, we’ll try sandboarding on the edge of Erg Chebbi and take a camel ride into the Merzouga Sahara desert to see a breathtaking sunset. Spend a memorable evening in a Sahara desert camp, sleeping in a private nomadic tent while taking in the starry sky, music, and a Berber meal. Spend the night in a camp amid the Berber Merzouga desert.
Day 3: Sahara desert – Risani –Todra gorges
On the Third day of our six-day journey from Fes to Marrakech, get ready to be astounded by a mesmerizing desert dawn. Enjoy the breathtaking desert landscape as you mount your camels once more and go off on a charming journey towards the settlement of Merzouga. Admire sceneries that appear to be mirages, like vibrant paintings created by a talented artist. See the famous Rissani Market, which is well-known for its genuine Moroccan items, such as leather goods and Berber jewelry. Proceed in the direction of the Todra Gorges, which are well-known for its striking rock formations and “Thermal Regs” hot springs. Savor a delectable meal at a nearby eatery while admiring the soaring rocks that appear to reach the sky. Finish the day to Boumaln Dades and spend the night in a traditional riad where you can interact with the locals and enjoy a delicious dinner.
Day 4: Todra gorges – boutghrar – Taourirt – Skoura – Ouarzazate
After enjoying a filling breakfast, we continue our journey by traveling off-road through the desolate desert to the charming settlement of Ait Boughrar. We will have the chance to stop by a Berber family who still live in a cave along the route. They will give us an insight into their way of life and are well-known for their simplicity, generosity, and honest welcome. In the afternoon, we reach Ouarzazate, which is known as the “Hollywood of Africa” since it has been used as a filming setting for many films. You can choose to see the magnificent Taorirt Kasbah, a fortification that dates back to the 17th century and is a witness to the city’s historical significance.
We will finally travel to our Riad, where you can rest and rejuvenate while taking in the coziness and allure of this authentic Moroccan lodging. Take advantage of the chance to rest and get ready for the experiences that lie ahead of us.
Day 5: Ouarzazate –Ait benhaddou – Marrakech
Following a delicious breakfast, you can choose to see the famous Atlas Film Studios, an intriguing location that has been used as a setting for many movies.
We will take a trip to the stunning Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou after the visit. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, this enthralling settlement is home to a number of striking Kasbahs (fortresses) that have been used as memorable backdrops for well-known motion pictures. This historical location has drawn Hollywood stars and directors for films like Gladiator, Lawrence of Arabia, Prince of Persia, and many more.
You will be taken to your hotel or Riad when you arrive in Marrakech in the afternoon so you may unwind and get settled. Spend some time taking in the lively ambiance and losing yourself in the allure of this fascinating city. You may be sure that your experiences and activities in Marrakech will be nothing short of extraordinary.
Day 6: Explore Marrakech
Today is dedicated to exploring Marrakech; we will leave our hotel and spend the entire day in “the beautiful Red City Marrakech.” First, Marrakech is a historic Moroccan imperial city. Its name translates to “Share of God” in the Berber language. It started off as a tiny farming community before being built with the help of Youssef Ben Tachafine, a Berber monarch of the Almoravid dynasty; we can visit his grave to learn more about his life story.
Additionally, we can visit the Koutoubia Mosque, which features an impressive minaret and exquisite decorations, the Saadian Tombs, the magnificent pool of Menara gardens, the Museum of Dar Si Said, which features a variety of arts and customs, Bahia Palace, and, lastly, Jemaa El-Fna Plaza, where we can learn about Marrakech’s way of life and subculture. Spend the night at a riad in the heart of Marrakech.
