Itinerary:

Day 1: Airport – Fes

After your arrival at the airport, we will drive to Fes Medina visit, then drive to our hotel for the overnight.

Day 2 : Fes- Volubulis – Meknes – Fes

After breakfast, we will drive drive towards a Roman ruins city of Volubilis. We will visit the city with a local guide and discover the Roman old culture, then continue to Meknes where we will visit the Gate of Bab Mansour, including lunch in Meknes. Afterward, we return to Fes for overnight in our riad.

Day 3: Fes – Merzouga sahara desert

After breakfast, we get ready to drive to the desert. on our way, we will cross the Cedar forest of Azrou, where we will see the monkeys. Our trip continues towards the Middle Atlas and the city of Midelt. Sometime in the afternoon, we will join the Palm Grove of Ziz to arrive in Merzouga dunes of Erg Chebbi. At our arrival, we will check-in for our hotel rooms in the desert dunes. Dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Desert Journey

Today we can explore the desert area. Visit the Gnawa people village, originally from Sudan. We will discover their music and lifestyle, then visit the lake of Merzouga with its bird populations. we can also visit the home of nomadic thread where many Berber handicrafts. After a while, we will drive to have a Berber Pizza for lunch in a local restaurant, then drive back to our hotel for the rest of the day. Dinner and night

Day 5 : Merzouga – Todra gorges – Dades Valley

We might wake up early in the morning to catch a beautiful sunrise over the sand dunes, then have our breakfast while getting ready for our tour.
We will depart towards Todra Gorge which is one of the highlights of South Morocco. We will cross the Valley of Todra to arrive at the canyons of 300M altitude. After a while, we will drive to Dades gorge where we will stop for a visit to one of the amazing rock formation “Monkey Toes”. Check-in for our hotel with dinner and overnight in Dades Valley.

Day 6 : Dades Valley – Boutaghrart – Skoura – Ouarzazate

Breakfast, then we will depart along the offroad that leads to the rose valley and the magnificent Berber village of Boutghrart where we will drink tea with a local family. We will go on along the road of Rose Valley. Along this route we will stop to observe some kasbahs, valleys, nomads living in caves… We will arrive to Skoura and then head towards Ait Benhaddou kasbah where many movies were filmed (Obelix, Gladiator, Sahara…). Supper and bed in the hotel.

Day 7: Ait Benhaddou – Telouet – Marrakech

We will go to the marvelous kasbah of Ait Behadou where Lawrence of Arabia was filmed among others. Another one we will visit is the Telouet At the end of the afternoon we will be back in Marrakech crossing the pass of Tizi n’Tichka (2260 meters) with its beautiful landscapes. We will spend the night in a Riad of Marrakech.

Day 8: Marrakech

We will walk around Marrakech and its main historical monuments, the ancient medina, tombs and mosques, the kasbahs or the famous square Jemaa El Fna. We will understand why it is said that Morocco is a tourist capital. We will spend the night at the same Riad.

Day 9: Marrakech – Essaouira

We will start in the morning travelling from Marrakech to Essaouira in a 2 hours and a half journey. There we will enter the wooden crafts museum, located in an ancient palace. There is a sentry tower and the harbor’s Skala. From this harbor we will gaze into the coast, the isles and the city. The Marina’s gate is used to merge the city and the harbor, and there are auctions to buy fresh fish. The narrow streets of the medina show a lot of craftsmen working jewels, wood… They are installed below the bastions of the city. In the upper side, there are some Spanish cannons from the XVI and XVII centuries. We will return to Marrakech to spend the night in the same riad as the two previous nights.

Day 10: Essaouira – Casablanca

We will depart from Marrakech towards Casablanca. We will visit the Hassan II mosque, the medina and the new parts of the city. We will spend the night in a hotel.

Day 11: Casablanca – Rabat – Meknes

After breakfast we will depart towards Rabat. The city of Meknes reached its golden age thanks to the sultan Mulay Ismail. There is a roman city, known as Volubilis, 27 kms from Meknes. We will walk around the roman city, after the visit we will arrive to Meknes. There we will take a walk around the city, we will go to Moulay Ismail tomb, El Hedime square and Bab Mansour. We will spend the night in a hotel.
